Supervision and Doctorate Application Support

I offer clinical supervision to psychologists and other professionals working in mental health settings, including nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, and therapists.

This includes both individual supervision and work with teams, services, and organisations. I have experience supporting staff groups within NHS, forensic, and third-sector settings, where there is a need to think carefully about complex or demanding clinical work.

I have a particular interest in supporting those who are earlier in their careers, as well as those more expereinced, whether in individual practice or in teams and organisations as well.

Doctorate Application Support

I also offer support for those preparing to apply for clinical psychology doctoral training.

This is focused on helping you make sense of your experience, develop your clinical thinking, and present this clearly in applications and interviews.

I have previously worked as a tutor on a DClinpsy and have experience in the training selection process. I also have expereince of supporting assistant psychologists preparing for applications, and have experience helping people develop successful applications. Many of those Assistants I have supervised, have have gone on to secure places on training programmes.

Support is tailored to the stage or your career and may include:

  • Clarifying and organising relevant experience

  • Developing reflective and clinical thinking

  • Reviewing and refining personal statements

  • Preparing for interviews, including clinical and ethical question

The aim is not to provide a generic formula, but to help you develop a clear and grounded account of your own expertience and how that makes you a suitable candidate for training.

Practical Arrangements

Supervision and application support can be arranged on a regular or ad hoc basis, depending on need.

If you would like to discuss whether this would be a good fit, I am happy to have an initial conversation.

Fees

Supervision sessions are £90 per 50-minute session and Dclinpsy support is £60 per hour.
